From cupboard to cocktail ~ turning a fun surprise from Nolet's into a tasty cocktail

March 9th, 2012

We love getting surprises in the mail! The other day we got a little wooden box filled with a jar of sour cherry marmalade, Nolet's Silver, and an Angostura mini. There was also a fun recipe for a Nolet's Silver New Fashioned ~ an old fashioned made with gin and marmalade ...yum! At the bottom of the recipe card there was a little note inviting us to create our own cocktail from the ingredients inside the box. Totally inspired to play with our new ingredients, we decided this was the perfect Liqurious and Tasteologie collaboration and got to work!

The unassuming box containing cocktail deliciousness ...
Mmm, sour cherry + Nolet's gin = can't wait to experiment. Marmalade is a fun way to get summer flavors in a winter cocktail.
Definitely need this to top off our Nolet's creation
Still not over how adorable the Angostura minis are!
A Meyer lemon fresh from the special NOTCOT lemon tree ...
... some tasty marmalade (trying not to eat it all straight out of the jar!)
... some egg white for a little foam
... and of course, shake it!
... and voila! Introducing the Nolet's Sour Cherry Fizz!
So good it's gone before the ice melts.
